Charming atmosphere with excellent food

I had a wonderful stay at this atmospheric 16th-century coaching inn, filled with rustic charm. The food was simply outstanding, particularly the full Welsh breakfast and the unique menu offerings for dinner. The staff were friendly and engaging, making my experience even more enjoyable. I think they could improve on the WiFi connectivity in the rooms.

This place suits me perfectly with free wi-fi, a cozy bar area, and a welcoming restaurant. The staff provided a helpful wake-up call during my first stay and always make me feel at home. I'm coming back for Christmas!

During my stay, the dining room was undergoing refurbishment, limiting options for evening meals. Parking can be a hassle, with spaces half on the road, making it tricky to get out quickly. Having a bathroom down the hall might not be everyone's cup of tea, especially if it becomes a shared space during busy hours.

The bathrooms need serious attention!!! An awkward layout with external baths is unnerving and far from convenient. parking is a nightmare. I struggled to find a spot after returning, despite the popularity!!!

Just an ideal choice for a day tour in Betws-y-Coed and great for the money. The staff really made our stay memorable with their friendliness and attentiveness. Arrive early for parking to secure a spot.

stayed in the lovely one-bedroom apartment at ty gwyn for five nights. the modern kitchen had everything from a hob to a dishwasher, making cooking easy. the bed was really comfortable, and i loved the large tv and seating area to relax. breakfast was included and was delicious, with great service throughout my stay.

An immaculately maintained, quirky building that boasts a beautiful setting. The four-poster suite was full of character, featuring a delightful jacuzzi bath. Breakfast was a enjoyable experience in a charming period room, with plenty of delicious options. The friendly staff added to the pleasant atmosphere, making this a place to remember.

first time back after 30 yrs and it was just as good! the food was delish and the staff super friendly. the one-bedroom apartment we had was really comfy and well-furnished. breakfast and dinner just next door was a huge bonus, no need to go out! definitely will return sooner than next time!

the only downside was some areas could do with a little refresh, like the bathroom was kinda small. also, service during busier times could be a bit slow.

Had a great time with friends exploring the area! We walked around the lake and did the Penrhyn Quarry Tour on those iconic red trucks. The staff were friendly, and the meals were delicious! I loved the cozy atmosphere and good food options at dinner. Breakfast had plenty of choices. Perfect for a group getaway!

Just a heads up, GPS can mislead you. it might take you to a pub instead of the actual lodging. A bit of a hassle but keep this in mind!

I enjoyed a lovely stay with beautiful rooms and incredible food that truly made me feel at home, while being just a pleasant walk away from both the stunning Pont-y-Pair Bridge and the peaceful Gwydyr Forest, perfect for afternoon strolls and exploring nature.
